IT Technical Project Leader

Salary £35k - £40k Per Annum

We are currently looking for IT Technical Project Leader

Responsibilities

• Strong knowledge of platforms, operating systems, database management systems and web authoring tools
• Assisting customers & partners with technical specifications, installations, upgrades, requirements gathering
• Creates, manages and maintains best practice process governance and takes ownership of the processes to ensure they are embed in to the business
• Works closely wit h internal and external resource to deliver against the unified roadmap, including multi-channel deliverables
• Collaborates with architecture teams to create technical roadmap & ensure alignment with delivery roadmap
• Pro-actively engages with stakeholders from across the business to understand and shape the delivery roadmap
• Manage the delivery through Rank Change Management process and achieve sign off with QA, Business, tech O PS & Change Advisory Board
• Run weekly an d daily communication with the delivery teams (release meeting and daily catch up) in order to clarify backlog item and remove obstacle
• Provide High Le vel estimate and first feedback on backlog item
• Lead a strong team of developers in an onshore-offshore mode l and instilled high work tempo to generate peak performance levels
• Strengthened the Application support team knowledge on the new setup of the application by conducting knowledge sharing sessions
• Discusse d requirements with the business SME’s on the expected application usability, customization, scalability, performance, volume growth and user spread
• Detailed the flight path using th e Microsoft Project Plan for the project showing the tasks in detail for each phase
• Prepared implementation approach for 2-phase production implementation to minimize the impact of the change a nd make change seamless to the customer
• Manage all aspects of pro gram/project delivery including:
Planning (scoping, solution, estimations, budgeting, resourc e planning), Development, Execution, Controlling (issue, quality and risk management), Reporting and Transition to support
• Planned and Hosted the Dress Rehearsals before the actual go-live weekend
• Creating, Scoping and Finalising Project Documentation

Skills:

• Degree in IT or related subjects
• Knowledge of Project and Softwa re Development Life Cycle Methodologies
• Ability to self direct multiple projects and meet deadlines within a fast paced environment
• Ability to work in a large, matrix organization
• Promote cooperation and commitment within the team by assisting and working collaboratively with others
• Good knowledge on Java frameworks Spring (Web, IOC, MVC, Webservices, Security
• JDBC), Struts2, Hibernate, jBPM,JBoss Drools, and Hybris
• Experience testing tools JUNIT, TestNG, Mockito, Cucumbe r, for UI testing
• Version control tools Subversion, CVS, VPN, DropBox, Rational, and Git
• Good knowledge on Java frameworks Spring (Web, IOC, MVC, Webservi ces, Security
• JDBC), Struts2, Hibernate, jBPM
• Strong analytical/problem solving skills
• Strong experience in developing, upgrading and deploying custom Project/SharePoint features and solutions in
• Project/SharePoint 2013
• Expertise in intranet web application development using Project Server, C#, ASP.NET, JSON, JQuery, SQL Server
• 2008/2012, .NET Framework, SharePoint, TFS, Visual Studio 2015/2013/2012
